1. Who This Is
Color Hunt Together (the "App," "we," "us") is operated by Color Hunt Together ("Company"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the App. By creating an account, using Guest Mode, or otherwise using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. The Map feature, which uses your real-world location, is only available to users who are 18 or older, based on the date of birth provided at signup. Accounts without a date of birth on file are not currently map-gated. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the App. We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false age information.
3. Your Account
You may use the App as a registered account (email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple where available) or as a Guest. Guest progress is stored only on your device and is lost if you uninstall the App or clear its data before converting to a registered account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Your date of birth, once provided at signup, cannot be changed. You may delete your account at any time — see Section 14.
4. What the App Does
Color Hunt Together is a photo-based scavenger-hunt game: you're given a target color and take photos of real-world objects matching it, earn in-game currency and cosmetic items, and can optionally post hunts publicly or to friends (with likes and comments), message friends directly, and paint hexagonal cells on a shared, publicly-viewable world map using your real-world location.
5. Location Data
The Map feature uses your device's location to let you paint map cells near you. Trials of Nature also use location while a trial is active to measure distance travelled. By using either feature, you consent to the App accessing your location for that purpose. Painting a map cell publicly associates your username with that location and the time you painted it — don't paint locations you don't want linked to your account. You can decline location permission and use the rest of the App without these location features.
6. Camera & Photos
The App requires camera access to play. Photos you take may be analyzed on-device to check color matches, stored, and — if you post a hunt publicly or to friends — shown to other users, or included in an exported share image you choose to send. Don't photograph other people without their consent, and don't upload prohibited content (Section 12).
7. Virtual Currency & Purchases
The App uses in-game virtual currency (Diamonds, Coins, Energy, and similar) with no cash value, redeemable only within the App, non-transferable, and forfeited if your account is deleted or terminated. Some virtual currency and items may be purchasable through Google Play or Apple's App Store, processed by the applicable store under its own terms. We may change or remove virtual currency, items, or features at any time.
8. Subscriptions (Premium Hunter)
Premium Hunter is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play or Apple's App Store. The price, billing period, and any free or introductory period are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm and are charged to your store account at that price and interval. It renews automatically unless you cancel through your store subscription settings. You can open those settings from the App's Manage Subscription screen. Deleting the App or your Color Hunt Together account does not itself cancel store billing. Cancelling stops future renewals rather than refunding the current period. If a subscription lapses or is refunded, premium features and cosmetics stop being available, though items already delivered to your account remain.
9. Refunds & Right of Withdrawal
Purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple's App Store, so refund requests are handled under the applicable store's refund policy. We cannot process a card refund ourselves, though we can help with account-side problems at colorhunttogether@gmail.com. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content; by buying and immediately receiving in-app currency, items, or subscription access, you ask us to begin supply at once and acknowledge that you lose that withdrawal right once supply has begun. Nothing here limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
10. Advertising
The App may display advertising provided by third-party advertising networks and partners. These partners may collect and use technical and usage data (such as device identifiers and general usage patterns) to serve and measure ads, subject to their own privacy policies. Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before showing personalized ads, and will serve non-personalized ads instead if consent is declined or if you're a known minor. Device-level ad-tracking controls may also be available in your settings.
11. Privacy & Data We Collect
See our full Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and why, including email, username, date of birth, hunt photos, location data when you use location features, your social graph, currency/item balances, diagnostics, purchase status, and data processed by advertising partners.
12. Content Standards & Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: post illegal, obscene, hateful, or harassing content, or content that infringes someone else's rights (including photos of people without consent); impersonate another person; harass, bully, or threaten another user; cheat the color-matching or location systems; reverse-engineer the App; use bots/scripts; or sell/trade your account or virtual currency outside the App's own systems. We may remove content or suspend/terminate accounts violating these standards, at our discretion.
13. Reporting & Moderation
The App includes a Report and Block system. We review reports on a best-effort basis and may take action including content removal, warnings, or account suspension. We're not obligated to take any specific action on a report.
14. Account Deletion
Deleting your account from Settings permanently removes the account and associated profile, hunts, photos, posts, messages, social connections, gameplay records, and other app data. This cannot be undone. Information may be retained only where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Copies that another person saved outside our systems before deletion are outside our control.
15. Intellectual Property
The App's design, code, logos, and branding belong to Color Hunt Together. You're granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of the photos and content you create; by posting or sharing content within the App, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display it as necessary to operate the App's features.
16. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content in the App infringes your copyright, email colorhunttogether@gmail.com with: identification of the work, identification of the content complained of and enough detail for us to find it (a username and the hunt or comment), your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them, and your physical or electronic signature. We remove or disable content that is the subject of a valid notice, notify the user who posted it, and give them a chance to respond. If you believe your content was removed in error you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the equivalent information. We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe.
17. Third-Party Services
The App relies on Supabase (backend/hosting), Google and Apple (sign-in and store services), RevenueCat (purchase and subscription management), Firebase Crashlytics (crash diagnostics), Google Mobile Ads (advertising), and OpenStreetMap/OpenFreeMap (maps). Features relying on these are also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.
18. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. The color-matching system uses automated image analysis and may not always be accurate.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Color Hunt Together is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of virtual currency, items, or account data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you use the App as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts where the law of that country gives you that right.
